Also known as Pacific white shrimp, Vannamei Prawns have a natural mild-sweet flavour and firm texture. Vannamei makes an ideal addition to pastas, stir-fries and curries, and are grayish white and turn pink when cooked.
Fresh Tips: The digestive tract runs along the back of the body and is best removed. To de-vein a prawn, use a knife to make a slit along the middle of the back to expose the dark vein. Pull out the vein.
