Kurobuta is to Pork, what Wagyu is to beef. These black hogs are from the Berkshire breed of pig originating in the English county of Berkshire produce a much more flavourful and tender taste, than your normal pork variations. In the United States where our Kurobuta comes from, only pigs that can trace its lineage to the English Berkshire breed are given Pedigree status and are called Kurobuta.
